Our Quality Promise

Every piece in the Varner Studios shop, including the full Ancientz collection, is made to be collected, displayed, and kept. Each order is inspected by hand before it ships.

Some of our pieces are finished by hand, so small differences in paint or signature from one piece to the next are expected. They are part of what makes each piece its own.

If something isn't right, we want to know, and we will make it right. The warranty terms below apply to every product in our shop.

Limited Warranty

We stand behind what we make. Here is what our warranty covers and how it works.

Who provides this warranty
 Glorius Inc. dba Varner Studios, 3655 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA 90503 ("Varner Studios," "we," "us").

What this warranty applies to
 This warranty applies to all products sold in the Varner Studios shop, including all Ancientz products.

Who is covered
 This warranty covers the original purchaser of a new product bought from ancientz.com, gloriusart.com, an authorized retailer, or in person at a Varner Studios or Ancientz convention or event booth. It cannot be transferred.

What is covered, and for how long
 We warrant that your product is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 90 days from the date your order is delivered, or the date of purchase for in-person purchases, including at conventions and events.

For products with electronic or interactive features, coverage includes lights, charging ports, built-in batteries (failure to power on or hold a charge), NFC chips (the chip's ability to be read), moving joints, and attached hardware.

What we will do
 If your claim is approved, we will replace your item or refund your purchase price, choosing the option that best fits the item and its availability. Replacements for made-to-order or hand-signed items are made to order and ship within 30 days of claim approval. We cover all shipping costs for approved claims.

What is not covered

  • Normal wear, including paint wear, scuffs, or scratches from everyday handling
  • Damage from drops, accidents, misuse, water or liquid exposure, heat, or modification
  • Damage caused by chargers or cables that do not meet USB-C standards
  • The gradual loss of battery capacity that happens with all rechargeable batteries over time
  • Natural variation in hand-painted finishes and hand-signed autographs
  • The availability or content of online experiences accessed through an NFC chip, which are provided by a third-party platform
  • Products bought used, or from sellers other than those listed above

How to make a claim
 Email info@ancientz.com within 90 days of delivery or in-person purchase and include:

  1. Your order number, receipt, or other proof of purchase (such as a payment confirmation or card statement showing the purchase)
  2. Photos or a short video showing the issue
  3. A brief description of the issue

We will respond within 3 business days. If we need the item returned, we will send instructions and a prepaid shipping label. Please contact us before sending anything back.

Arrived damaged?
 Every order is packed with care, but damage in transit can happen. If your order arrives damaged, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and the packaging, and we will take care of it. Shipping damage is handled separately from this warranty.

Legal Terms

Implied warranties
 Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this limited warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

Limitation of remedies
 Varner Studios is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

Your rights
 This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. It is separate from our Return Policy and does not change the return policy of any retailer where you bought your product.

This warranty applies to products purchased or delivered on or after July 22, 2026.

Earlier Purchases

If you purchased from us before July 22, 2026, including as a Kickstarter backer, thank you for being with us from the start. If something isn't right with your piece, email info@ancientz.com and we will work with you.
